IAH IAHx Search parameters

The search parameters on the iAH and iAHx interfaces are described below for the construction of an URL with direct access to the search service:

1. Initiate the URL with its dominion address where the interface is installed and the search command and add the parameters, according to the orientations below.

2. Remember that between the parameters it is necessary do add the character “&” and the position of the parameters does not interfere on the search result.

iAH Interface:

- Free Form:

a) For the selection of the language use the expression “lang=” followed by the first letter correspondent to the language selected. For Portuguese use “p”, for English use “i” and for Spanish use “e”. Example: lang=p

b) For the definition of the database to be searched use the expression “base=” followed by the database name. Example: base=LILACS

c) For the parameter of next action on the Free Form use the expression “nextAction=extsearch”.

d) For the selection of the Free Form use the expression “form=F”.

e) For the definition of the coonectors use the expression “conectSearch=” followed by the chosen conector. Is can be “and” (intersection between the words or terms) or “or” (union between words or terms).

f) For the parameter of the term to be searched use the expression “exprSearch=” followed by the term. Example: exprSearch=asma Examples:

- Advanced form:

f) For the parameter of index use the expression “indexSearch=” followed by the abbreviation of the field to be searched. It can be “tw” (words), “ti” (title), “mh” (subject), “pd” (publication date), “mh” (limits), “au” (author), “ai” (institutional author) or “pt (publication type).

a) For the selection of the language use the expression “lang=” followed by the ISO code of two characters correspondent to the language selected. For Portuguese use “pt”, for English use “en” and for Spanish use “es”. Example: lang=pt

b) For the parameter of the term searched use the expression “q=” followed by the term. Example: q=dengue

c) For the definition of the database to be searched use the expression “where=” followed by the database name. Example: where=LILACS

d) For the parameter of index use the expression “index=” followed by the abbreviation of the field to be searched. It can be “ti” (title), “au” (author), “pt (publication type) or “mh” (subject). Without this parameter the search is executed in all the indexes.

e) For the parameter of index use the expression “output=” followed by one of the values “metasearch”, “xml” or “rss”.
